Who we are
Scribely (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is an AI-assisted note-taking, transcription, and session documentation product. We are committed to protecting user privacy and handling personal information responsibly. For privacy questions, .
1. What information we collect
Depending on how you use Scribely, we may collect and process the following types of information:
- Account information, including email address, profile details, role, and organization or workspace details.
- Preferences, including templates, memory settings, terminology, names, places, and text replacement rules.
- Session information, including titles, participants, context, timestamps, transcripts, summaries, generated outputs, and related notes.
- Audio input when you choose to record or process audio for transcription.
- Usage metadata, including app version, device type, recording length, token usage, diagnostic logs, and security events.
2. Audio and transcription
Scribely asks for microphone access only when you start a recording. Audio is used only to provide the service you request, including transcription, summaries, notes, letters, minutes, and related AI-assisted outputs.
Scribely does not store audio recordings as retained user content. Audio may be transmitted to our secure processing infrastructure and AI transcription providers only for the purpose of converting speech to text and generating requested outputs. Once transcription processing is complete, audio is not retained by Scribely as part of your saved account or session data.
Transcripts and generated content may be saved in your account or session history so that you can review, continue, edit, export, or delete them. You should only record conversations where you have the right and consent to do so.
3. How we use information
